What is the Essex County Public Health Reserve Corps?
The ECPHRC enhances your community’s emergency preparedness by ensuring that a trained group of healthcare professionals and community volunteers are ready to respond to a public health emergency. The MRC will distribute antibiotics and vaccine during an emergency. This is part of a federal and state program to help support local area needs.

Community volunteers who are not health professionals are also encouraged to apply.
Will volunteers receive training?
Volunteers will need to participate in training and education in order to be adequately prepared should an event occur.
What duties will I perform?

· direct patient care
· administrative duties
· clerical or reception duties
· translation services
Do I have liability protection?
